Discredit by association

Simon speaks to me (directly or figuratively) in his latest essay on the Flat Earth surge on youtube and other places.

KHam 41 recently laid out the whole reason I respect Simon, Hoi, and cluesforum.info – the concise, clear, and definitive September Clues Tour Guide, which to me is the final answer on 9/11.

I have the personality to fall into all rabbit holes, it seems. I DO have the ability to climb out of most of them. Is Simon telling me I’ve fallen into a giant, NASA Flat Earth rabbit (moon) crater? If so, I’ll be happy to climb out.

The main thing I have learned in this fakeologist journey is that the this is a battle for the human mind. A real science is involved in influencing and leading human beings at all times. Just knowing this fact is 50% of the battle, the other 50% is trying to escape its clutches.

I think it is high time for us to react / address and call out the current, escalating yet all-too-transparent “DBA-strategy” (Discredit By Association) adopted by NASA’s propaganda dept – clearly designed for damage control: NASA has by now been roundly exposed as a total fraud – and, of course, they weren’t going to just sit back and let a growing number of honest / legitimate grass-root researchers “lead” the fledgling ‘NASA truth movement’ (for lack of a better term – *sigh*) and tranquilly diffuse their findings to the general public – in any sort of snowballing / or unimpeded fashion. What NASA has rolled out is a carefully planned and coordinated, ‘viral’ DBA / co-opting campaign centered on the ‘Flat Earth’ meme and – I will hastily add – (with respect to those who may honestly entertain alternative cosmic models of their own) this fact should be clear as day to anyone, regardless of whether you reckon we live on a globe, a cube, a pancake or a Wiener würstel. The point being, it is by now painfully obvious that the objective of this NASA-campaign is to associate & equate (in the general public’s psyche) anyone questioning NASA to mentally challenged / raving crackpots:

Simon raises some good points about the fact most “flat earth” theorist’s are attacking NASA and that some of the gatekeepers could be beneficial for NASA as distractions and discredit genuine researchers by means of guilt by association.

however, none of this critique brings us closer to what is at stake: the shape of the earth.

the ‘modus oparandi’ of the PRC is to misguide us by every means possible. we don’t know what all the fakery is proof of, and we are mostly forced to speculate and theorize on our own. this is easier with media events than with science, but if we dare not open our minds, no insight will be gained. so we must be courageous enough to speculate and open our perspective at the risk of being wrong, otherwise we will self-censure and stay in another box, even be it a Cluesforum box.

the shape of the earth is not as we are told it is, which is no surprise. as the the core construct of our reality, the earth is nevertheless a subject we should all be interested in, and well worth stepping out of a box or two, even at the price of ridicule.

if someone believes we are not ridiculisez by the normal citizen, just try out “no planes” or “no nuclear bombs” and you’ll get for your moneys worth, even loose a friend or two. we are already outside any box a normal person would be confortable with. no need to wait for the “flat earth” to be discredited by anyone and everyone.

NASA has a large presence in Antarctica and is responsible for much “science” emerging from the continent – see, eg Operation Ice Bridge, ICESat
http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/icebridge/news/fall14/index.html#.VaTbxPmYGjg
http://icesat.gsfc.nasa.gov/icesat/visual.php

NASA scientists have determined that Antarctica’s climate, terrain, temperature, and degree of isolation provide an environment that most closely parallels the conditions of isolation and stress that are likely to be faced on long-duration human missions in space.

Can we really believe NASA has turned ‘good guy’ in Antarctica?
http://www.nasa.gov/audience/forstudents/k-4/stories/nasa-knows/what-is-antarctica-k4.html

Antarctica is a good place to find meteorites, or rocks that fall from space to Earth. Scientists find more meteorites in Antarctica than any other place in the world. Meteorites are easier to see on the white ice. Also, meteorites that fall to Antarctica are protected by the ice for a long time.

If we haven’t been to the moon, what is “moon rock” over which NASA has total control?

‘Flat Earth’ can be a divisive subject. It certainly appears to be being played like that.
It works as Simon identifies, anyway, regardless of what shape the ground beneath us might be, in the grand scale.

Every time I hear the term ‘Flat Earther’, I’m repelled.

Jon le Bon uses it a lot when hosting his roundtables. The discussion about the shape of the Earth is framed with a liberal dose of that term: Flat Earther , with Ball Earther or Globalist, thrown in.
Individual characters are introduced as ‘Flat Earthers’. The divisions are defined.

Similarly, perhaps, Eric Dubay talks of ‘The Jews’, when in reality, it’s like being in Chicago in the fifties and saying that the hidden hand of organised crime is ; ”The Italians!”. It wasn’t ‘The Italians’, was it? ‘Yeh, we know what you meant, but I don’t think it helped your cause to generalise like that.’ Maybe kept it all under cover for a bit longer.
It’s divisive language.

The Blue Marble, though, is a religious icon of our lifetimes that I’m not going to overlook in a hurry. Are you kidding me? Probably the most widely reproduced photograph in history ? Taken by an astronaut with a regular camera from behind glass from 28,000 miles away in 1972 ? Mmm…yes…that’s probably fake in every way, shape and form, it might suit whoever contrived it , to bend it to ! ”There, there’s your ball !”

The earth as a ball, re-affirmed every time we see a globe in our classrooms and this picture reproduced anywhere, has become a most fundamental corner stone of belief across the vast, majority of the so-called ‘civilised world’. That’s the only real photo we’ve got, though. We’ve not been up that high with a Hasselbad again. since Apollo 17, in 1972 ? It’s possible to question the shape, size, or whatever, of the object in that photograph:-)

It’s been interesting, this wave of interest on the subject.
To me, it’s been a bit like finding out that 9/11 must have been some kind of inside job and trying to make sense of it by looking at all the new trendy videos coming out about it on youtube. Haha. That was rabbit trail time. Most confirm my suspicions, whilst leaving me with an uneasy feeling and I tend to steer clear of them and the subject, a little, as a result.

I don’t think Mark Sargeant would pass a lie detector test if you asked him to confirm that he had never heard of September Clues before he released his series.
I always have to remember though, that I was woken up to 9/11 being an inside job by Loose Change.
It was a big thing I was led to by the controlled, alternative media.
That’s how it would work, wouldn’t it ? Mark Sargeant didn’t lead me to questioning the shape of the Earth but he certainly seems to be presented as someone who has ‘woken up’ a few.

The evidence should speak for itself; surely we have to, at least, question the very shape of the ground beneath our feet ?
No one to this day has explained to me how some kind of trick of refraction means we see no curvature when we look across a body of water. Samuel Rowbotham, however, did explain a credible trick of perspective, that, to me, strongly supports the notion that the water is flat. It’s fundamental, simple, stuff and it really comes down to a case of you either go there or you don’t, because if you go there you’ll find clear discrepancies that you’ll have a job talking your way-out-of, intelligently, I think.
I’m always ready to be informed.
A serious agent trying to sound informed though, might have to take The Alex Jones’ line with the Moon Landings. perhaps, and just brush if off. ”Pah, Flat Earthers! Rubbish! Not going there.” With one broad sweep of his cape Jones gate-keeps for NASA very nicely, thank you very much.
My position is that The Blue Marble and The Globe used to be a fundamental part of my belief system :
they are not any more.
I haven’t got a Scooby Doo what shape the ground I stand on really is, therefore it’s impossible for me to get drawn in to any sort of argument, based on belief.

I’m just looking at the natural world with a renewed fascination and saying ”Wow, fantastic, I don’t know”.

Thanks Ab for bringing this cluesforum thread to my attention. I have posted my thoughts in a lengthy post in that thread so if anybody is interested in my thoughts on the matter they can see them there.

Interesting find from Simon ( and Ataraxia) on his thread.

”Btw, dear Ataraxia – thanks for pointing out something (extremely interesting) I had missed – regarding that very first (alleged) ISS-doubter, “Galexander”(apparently from “Bucks [Buckinghamshire], UK”). In his very first post on that thread, he writes:

“And incidentally members of The Flat Earth Society were able to independantly confirm the round shape of the ISS through telescopes.”

Now – hold on a second. WHY ON EARTH would Galexander-the-very-first-ISS-doubter (back in 2009) mention such a silly thing?
Of course, ‘Astronut’ (from “Brandon, Florida – USA”) then immediately retorts – with thinly veiled sarcasm “Well, regardless of what you say you saw or what a member of the flat earth society thinks they saw…”
————————————————-

This confirms, I think, what many of us suspected and what Simon suggests with his post: Flat Earth has been attached to NASA debunking, deliberately.
This seems quite clear.

Now, does that mean we should throw away any notion of questioning the shape of the earth we live on ?
Definitely not.

The taboo of ‘Flat Earth’ is well established. It’s a ‘definite no-no’ to many people, to the point of it being used as a cliche. It’s been drummed-in to a critical mass of folk as part of our language. Flat Earther invokes backward thinking and close-mindedness.
This has been done, over time, very successfully.

Attaching ‘Flat Earth’ to NASA debunking makes sense.

Does that mean that the Earth is just as they tell us? That it is the Blue Marble they showed us in 1972 ?
That it’s definitely a ball and not flat ?
Obviously, not. In fact, it would seem to me that this ploy seeks to devalue NASA debunking whilst continuing to rubbish any notion of a flat Earth. Two-in-one,-one-in-two; shove ’em both, down the loo.

if you are concerned about discredit by association, then why would you post that Rob Durham rocket vid?
